New dotnet docker environment with node and mariadb

In this post I’ll try to describe the steps that i did to make my asp.net core app work on docker composer orchestration. My project consist of an implementation of identityServer4.
I am going to create three docker images two for runtime (means two to run the application) and one for build:

  1. The runtime images;
    1. mariadb
    2. aspnetcore runtime 2.1.4
  2. The build image;
    • node

Why .Net Standard 2.0

I am aware that it is not a good practice to redirect the reader to another article right from the first lines of your post, but I loved the first couple of lines that Microsoft written to explain the .Net Standard. So to encapsulate that .Net Standard 2.0 is your friend to target when you are writing BCLs (Base Class Libraries) as Microsoft added a bunch of old API to this new .Net base framework that any other .Net framework support and understand. And that is why I have decided to port most of my library to this framework.
